What is a ms150?
It is a two-day bike ride from Houston to Austin, roughly a 150-170 mile journey through the Texas Hill Country. This ride is very special to me as it raises more money than any other cycling event, with people from all walks of life united in passion and with one mission– to end Multiple Sclerosis.

The BP MS 150 is a two-day fundraising cycling ride organized by the National MS Society: Lone Star. This ride is the largest event of its kind in North America. The ride is a two day, 180-mile journey for MS from Houston to Austin.
How do I prepare for ms150?
Training Overview
- Start with weekly rides of about 20 to 25 miles.
- Increase 10% to 20% per week.
- Initially, do not be too concerned with speed as you build up endurance.
- Keep terrain mostly flat.
- Start increasing speed and gradually add hills.
- Include short, one-hour interval workouts and/or other cross-training.
